Game Recap

The Eagles faced a tough challenge from the Trojans on a rainy Tuesday night. In a physical matchup the Eagles were hard pressed to deal with the deep bench of the Trojans.

In an exciting matchup under the lights, the Eagles junior midfielder Jack Ross scored their first goal in the latter stages of the first half. Although the Eagles carried the momentum coming out of halftime, the Trojans bounced right back and scored early in the second half. Showing great pressure on the ball, the Trojans took advantage of the momentum shift and scored a second goal to take the lead in the contest.

Down, but not out, the Eagles showed great resilience and pressed the Trojans deep into their defensive third of the field. The pressure was rewarded as the Trojans committed a hand ball foul in their penalty box. Jack Ross, coming off the bench from a temporary injury buried a penalty kick to the right of the goalkeeper to pull the match even again.

With time running out, both teams hustled for a go-ahead goal, but both defenses stepped up to force a draw.
