The boys track team brought 11 athletes to the state meet after a 2nd place finish at the regional. The team finished tied for 29th overall out of the 59 teams that scored a point. Junior Bryce Washington accounted for all the scoring finishing 2nd in the high jump and tying his school record of 6’5. Washington had won the 2016 state title in high jump and was the runner-up in 2015. The 4 x 8 relay of Max Vowles, Eric Wagoner, Mark Harting and Jonathon Sullivan finished 15th while the 4 x 2 relay of Donald Keating, Sullivan, Elijah Hicks & Cameron Sanders finished 16th. Individually, Keating finished 15th in the 400 meter, Carter Adams was 21st in the 2 mile and Immanual Smith was 19th in the 300 hurdles. The day ended for the boys with the 4 x4 team of Wagoner, Keating, Austin Little and Sullivan finished 10th. Congratulations to the boys team on a great season.
