Multiple Teams · Fall Postseason Preview


Our fall sports teams are hitting the stretch run of the regular season as they are competing in key match-ups before the MHSAA postseason begins.  The junior/sophomore heavy soccer team will be the first to start the playoffs when they host the district quarterfinal on October 16.  The cross country team is coming off mileage week, where they run two-a-days and are anticipating some time drops as they begin their tapper.  Football will host their final home game of the season, for homecoming on October 13 at 7 PM at Berkley’s Hurley Field against Parkway Christian before closing out their season the following week.  Finally, the volleyball team will be finishing up the second half of their conference schedule before they try to win their third straight district title and attempt a deep postseason run.  Below are the key end of the season match-ups, including the postseason playoff schedule.

Soccer

Key Regular Season Match-up: Friday, October 13 vs. Arbor Prep at 4 PM at SCS.  This is the team’s final regular season game and annual homecoming soccer game.  The Eagles will look to finish the season strong and rebound from a 2-1 loss to Arbor Prep earlier in the season.

Districts:

Monday, October 16 vs. Franklin Road Christian at 4 PM at SCS.

Thursday, October 19 SCS/FRC winner at Oakland Christian/Roeper at TBA

Saturday, October 21 District Final at 11 AM at Oakland Christian

Regionals at Goodrich High School on October 24 & 26

 

Cross Country

Key Regular Season Match-up: Friday, October 20 MIAC Conference Finals at Oakland Christian at 4 PM

Regional:

Friday, October 27 at Lake St. Clair Metropark, Girls Race 2:30 PM, Boys Race 4 PM

MHSAA State Finals at Michigan International Speedway on November 4

 

Volleyball

Key Regular Season Match-up: Tuesday, October 10 vs. Plymouth Christian at 6:30 PM at SCS.  The Lady Eagles still control their own destiny in pursuing their MIAC conference title hopes.  The defending class “D” state champions and MIAC undefeated Plymouth Christian stands in their way.  The Lady Eagles will look to pull into a tie with PCA on Tuesday with a win.

Districts:

Tuesday, October 31 vs. Frankel Jewish Academy at 6 PM at Franklin Road Christian

Thursday, November 2 vs. Cornerstone Leadership & Business at 6 PM at Franklin Road Christian

Friday, November 3 District Final at 7 PM at Franklin Road Christian
