Former Eagle standout, Harding Fears III ’14 was recently named to the 2017 University Athletic Association All-Academic Team. Fears started his four-year career with the Washington University Bears in St. Louis as a Tight End before converting to Receiver his junior year. As a starting Receiver this past season, Fears has caught 17 passes, and has a career total of 42 thus far. The Bears will face off against Bridgewater (VA) on November 11, when Fears will play his 27th and final game of his career.
While at Southfield Christian, Fears was a 3-sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball. In football, he was a three-time All-Conference Selection – catching 71 passes for 1,079 yards during his career. He also was an integral part of Southfield Christian’s three straight basketball conference title wins in 2012, 2013 & 2014! During his senior year at Southfield Christian, Fears interned with the Detroit Tigers.
Fears will graduate this spring with a degree in marketing and plans to work with a professional baseball or football franchise.
