Senior Bryce Washington moved into 1st all-time in scoring in the boys basketball program last night passing Marlo Brown’s (’16) school record of 1221. Washington, who currently has 1236 career points is averaging 24.8 points a game through the first 5 games of the season, including a season high 35 points against Southfield A & T to start the season. He is 1 of 5 Eagles to ever break the 1,000 point scoring mark along with Brown, Lindsey Hunter IV (’14) with 1193, his brother Brock Washington (’17) with 1112 and Bakari Evelyn with 1038. Washington has received a number of offers to play at the college level including Colgate, Brown, Air Force, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Oakland University, Detroit Mercy and Kent State.
