Senior Da’Jion Humphrey became the 6th player in boys’ basketball program history to score 1,000 career points reaching that milestone tonight in the regular season finale against River Rouge. The Holy Cross commit is currently leading the #1 ranked team in Division IV with 20.5 points a game. He scored a career high 33 points against Inter-City Baptist early this season and he has become known this season for making big shots and thundering home big dunks. During Humphrey’s career the Eagles have gone 70-20 including a perfect 40-0 mark in MIAC conference play. He is a 2 time state champion who was named 1st team all-state last season by the Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, the Associated Press and by the Coaches Association.
