Championship Salute: Boys Basketball 2019

The boys basketball team defeated Frankfort 62-39 in the 2019 MHSAA Division IV State Championship game.  The Eagles were led by the 1st Team All-State backcourt of Junior Da’Jion Humphrey and Senior Jon Sanders who led the Eagles with 20 and 19 points respectively.  Junior All-State guard Noah Rheker also had 10 points.  The boys basketball

Coaching Profile: Clennie Brundidge

Coach Brundidge arrived as an assistant coach at Southfield Christian in 2012 right after the Eagles won their first boy’s basketball state title.  Since then the program has gone 173-32, while going 93-1 in MIAC conference play and amassing 8 MIAC conference titles, 7 MHSAA district titles, 5 MHSAA regional titles and 4 MHSAA state

Championship Salute: 2018 Boys Basketball

The boys basketball team won the MHSAA 2018 state title with a 64-54 win over Buckley.  The Eagles got a huge day from Junior Harlond Beverly who had 23 points, 8 steals, 7 rebounds, 6 blocks and 4 assists.  Junior Caleb Hunter had 13 points and Senior Bryce Washington had 12 points and 9 rebounds.

Middle School Winter Awards

The middle school had a great winter athletic season for our boys’ basketball teams and our competitive cheer team.  The basketball teams went a combined 25-9 and our 8th grade team had an undefeated 12-0 season.  Our competitive cheer team had great participation with almost 20 girls on the team and they show great potential

Championship Salute: 3-Peat

The 2013-14 boys basketball team went a school record 26-1 in route to the program’s 3rd straight MHSAA State Title.  The team had victories over Southfield High, Southfield-Lathrup, Walled Lake Western, Ann Arbor Pioneer and Detroit Community.  There lone loss of the year came early in the season to Saginaw Arthur Hill.  The Eagles would rebound

The young 2012-13 Boys Basketball team started the year 3-4 after graduating a number of all-state seniors the previous season.  However, after a rough start and coming off the Eagles only conference loss between 2011-2020, the team would go onto win their next 20 games and capture their 2nd straight MHSAA Boys Basketball State Title.

The 2011-12 Boys Basketball season forever changed the Southfield Christian Basketball program.  The program was 2 years removed from the worst season in school history having gone 1-20.  Under 1st year Head Coach, Josh Baker and behind 3 senior All-State players in Chris Dewberry, Gavin Toma and Lindsey Hunter III, the Eagles won a school

Basketball Teams Earn Academic All-State

The girls and boys basketball teams both earned Team Academic All-State Honorable Mention Honors from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan for the 2019-20 season.  The girl’s team had a team GPA of 3.62 while the boy’s team had a team GPA of 3.5.  Congratulations to our student-athletes on their hard work in the classroom

Humphrey Joins the 1,000 Point Club

Senior Da’Jion Humphrey became the 6th player in boys’ basketball program history to score 1,000 career points reaching that milestone tonight in the regular season finale against River Rouge.  The Holy Cross commit is currently leading the #1 ranked team in Division IV with 20.5 points a game.  He scored a career high 33 points
